August 29, the Kunming Institute and Yunnan Heqing Manganese Industry Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on a manganese census survey in Heqing County, Yunnan Province. Under the agreement, after Heqing Manganese Industry Co., Ltd. pre-pays the compensation for the geological work the Kunming Institute has done, the two parties will jointly set up a new company working on the manganese prospecting area of 17.84 square kilometers with the Kunming Institute's mining right and Heqing Corporation' fund.

　　This is the second time for the Kunming Institute to cooperate with others in large exploration projects, and is also a positive attempt to exploring new pathways transforming the resources superiority as the favorable economic conditions.
