From July 19th to 20th, CMGB Held the First Half of 2008 Working Conference in Urumqi Xinjiang.

　　The Bureau Chief and General Secretary Yan Xueyi made a presentation entitled "deeply implement the scientific concept of development, and enhance the sustainable development capacity of CMGB. He had concluded the progress in the first half of 2008, focusing on the basic requirements and realization means of enhancing sustainability of CMGB, and deployed comprehensively works must pay special attention to in the second half of the year.

　　The Bureau Chief Yan placed the emphasis on following aspects: the guiding principle of current works should be taking the Scientific Outlook on Development as a guide, enhancing the sustainability of CMGB; the sustainability could be induced by five characteristics as the industry-leading main business with sufficient staying power, the outstanding achievements and advanced technology, the smooth systems and flexible mechanisms, the standard management and efficient operations, the well-known brand and remarkable corporate culture; enhancing the sustainability, our main business should become bigger and stronger, we should pay more attention to the development of the international market, we should effectively improve the quality of economic operation, we should attach great importance to and strengthen innovation capability, we should accelerate the soft power of upgrading sustainability.

　　Yan pointed out that the priority of the second half of the year would be on the following 8 tasks: thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Seventeenth Party Congress, conducting education and practice on the Scientific Outlook on Development; effectively enhancing production and management, ensuring the completion of the annual mandate; continuing to do a good job in main geological program and screening mine bases; continuously intensifying the reform and adjustment; making great efforts to better management; conscientiously strengthening the leadership, leading body and personnel; further strengthening the Party building and enterprise culture; ensuring the security and stability of CMGB during the Olympic Games.

　　Lu Jin, the Deputy Chief of CMGB in summing up the conference stressed grasping a theme, highlighting six key jobs in implementing the spirit of this conference.

　　At the meeting, the Chief Accountant Yuan shengqi informed the 2007 performance evaluation results of all subunits and holding companies, announced the Special Awards on 2007Annual Performance Evaluation. NO.1 Bureau, NO.3 Bureau, Shandong Bureau and ZIMC addressed respectively as the typical examples about their practices and achievements in changing the way of economic development and enhancing the sustainability.After the meeting, the participants had a study tour of the gold mine under ZIMC which located in Habahe County, Xinjiang.
